Nazareth College undergraduate students earned their bachelor's degrees at the 88th Annual Commencement ceremony that took place at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY, on May 10, 2015.

Two dozen Rochester Institute of Technology criminal justice majors were honored May 8 at the Senior Luncheon and Recognition Celebration put on by the Department of Criminal Justice and the Center for Public Safety Initiatives.

The following students received awards during St. Lawrence University's Moving-Up Day ceremonies held on April 25 in Canton, New York.

The following people recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

The SUNY Geneseo chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society recently inducted students into the organization during a campus ceremony. Juniors or seniors with a grade point average that places them in the top 15 percent of their class are eligible for membership. 

The Dean's Award for academic excellence is awarded to students with a 3.30 or higher term average while enrolled in 3.75 or more course hours.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the Fall Semester 2014 at Baldwin Wallace University according to Stephen D. Stahl, Provost. Students who receive at least a 3.6 GPA for seven or more graded hours in a single semester are named to the Dean's List.

The following students were named to the dean's list at Bates during the first semester of the 2014-2015 academic year -- a distinction earned by students whose cumulative grade point average is 3.73 or higher.

A talented cast and crew from Baldwin Wallace University performed the iconic musical "A Chorus Line," this fall. Directed by Victoria Bussert and choreographed by Gregory Daniels, the Music Theatre program along with the Department of Theatre and Dance created a musical theatre sensation that left packed audiences in awe.

The University of Hartford is pleased to announce the following local students have been named to the Dean's List for Fall 2014.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its Dean's List for the fall semester 2014. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Students are being recognized for their outstanding achievement at SUNY Canton during the fall 2014 semester. "On behalf of the entire SUNY Canton community, I'd like to congratulate each of you on your academic success this semester," said SUNY Canton President Zvi Szafran. "We applaud the hard work and perseverance you've demonstrated to attain this special recognition." Part-Time honors are awarded to students who earned at least a 3.25 GPA in 6 to 11 credits of coursework.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its spring 2014 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must have a GPA of at least 3.5 with a minimum of 15 credits. The following local students have achieved this honor:

Ohio Wesleyan University held its 170th commencement ceremony May 11. The Ohio Wesleyan Class of 2014 included 390 spring, summer, and fall graduates, with 65 cum laude, 33 magna cum laude, and 20 summa cum laude honorees. Four students - Karli Amstadt, Alyssa Carothers, Jessica Martin, and Carolyn Thompson - graduated with perfect 4.0 grade point averages. Congratulations to OWU's newest alumni!
